The Reflecting Pool
Cast Concrete. Granite Boulders. Copper. Plants.
An artistic approach rooted in practicality and designed to thoughtfully address poor drainage. A clear vision driven by simplicity was established; implementing modern concepts reinforced the overall success of the project. Creating a floating pathway through the pool itself gives access to the landscaped areas and allows for a unique experience doing so. Careful use of boulders and textural plants combined with the strong water sounds delivers a very sculptural and organic experience throughout the landscape.

A Space that is generous & grand – to gather with family & friends.
The continuous use of curves throughout the space unifies a complex material palette. Careful use of copper & steel highlight key architectural elements throughout the space. Custom brackets anchor the timber structure in place & reinforce the use of shape throughout the overall composition. Large quartzite slabs finish the surfaces and reinforce the dramatic architecture experienced throughout the space. Inspired by wave movement and the project’s relationship to the pool.
